Inspection, Testing and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems Training (ITM)

During three comprehensive days of training, attendees will gain an understanding of theITMrequirements and procedures for inspection, testing, and maintenance of water-based fire protection systems in accordance with NFPA 25, 2017 Edition.  The attendees will participate in valuable hands-on training and troubleshooting exercises of key system components including:

  • System valves (wet, dry, deluge, and pre-action │ 16 fully functional system risers )
  • Fire pumps (vertical turbine, electric and diesel horizontal split case)
  • Water supplies (conduct hydrant flow tests)

  • Identify the NFPA standard used for Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance, and summarize how to find the requirements within the standard
  • Identify the various types, components, and uses of sprinkler systems, and explain how they relate to Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance tasks and frequencies
  • Perform proper Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance procedures as they relate to water-based fire protection systems
  • Recognize problems that may arise in water-based fire protection systems, and demonstrate how to troubleshoot those problems
